The Sporting Philosophy: How to Live a Happy and Fulfilled Life
Happiness is a very subjective matter. Some people can simply be fulfilled by being themselves and staying in their comfort zone. Others relate happiness with success and showing that they can leave something on earth for others to look up to in the future. You might want to relate to some of the greatest figures in sports history to realize that you might just have everything you need to be truly happy and successful. Here are some tips.
Be Like Mike
He is often described as the NBA superstar who ever played, a living legend. Michael Jordan was widely popular among kids and adults because he possessed several traits that only the greatest champions could have. He also played in the Olympics and was crowned several times as the Most Valuable Player. Michael Jordan became the man that he is because he possessed some of the best sporting philosophies.
Jordan was not accepted in his high school varsity because his coach thought that he was not tall or good enough to play. That occasion may have caused a lot of others to falter, but Jordan remained determined and believed that he could be the best. He continued training and in just a few years, achieved titles like Rookie of the Year, Slam Dunk Champion and garnering the highest points in a game.
Air Jordon
Jordan was also most unique among other players because he presented qualities like leadership, courage and creativity. He showed moves that were never seen before in the NBA. He stayed away from scandals and rumors that superstars were very prone to. He also maintained composure in the most difficult times.
You can become truly happy by becoming a superstar in your own little ways. In whatever you do, take pride in it and be the best that you can be. Do not allow circumstances or other people to tell you what you can or cannot do. You should view failures as a chance to become better. Lead others and live a very decent and honourable life and you will find that the world will open itself up to you.
The Usain Bolt Story
Usain Bolt became widely popular after winning the Olympics despite coming from a very poor background. Bolt was genetically gifted, but did not have the means or the support to focus on his running career like other athletes in first world countries. He had to make do with his bare feet initially, running faster than anyone else. He did not allow financial constraints and a very unstable environment shake his dreams of becoming a gold medalist in the Olympics. Bolt instantly became a crowd favorite because he portrayed how the worst of situations can lead to a championship moment.
You can follow Usain Bolt and live your life, contented with the things you have and the opportunities that are presented to you. A lot of people die unhappy because they do not realize that they already have everything they need to succeed. They keep on finding reasons not to succeed by saying that they’re not rich enough, they’re not good enough or they’re not born with the right traits. Instead of complaining, you can work with what you have and become the best in everything you do.
The Greatest
The most famous and greatest boxer in the Olympics is Muhammad Ali. He referred to himself as “The Greatest” and lived up to the name. He was undefeated throughout his career and faced some of the toughest opponents in his time. What made him great was simply because he won over the greatest opponents. One cannot be very memorable if only minor challenges were overcome.
You can be truly great by achieving in the most difficult of times, against the most difficult opponents. You can only gauge yourself by competing with the hardest and measure your skills by defeating the best in the field. You should learn how to take big risks and try new battles that only few would dare to do. Aside from genetics, you should also possess the right traits and characteristics that make a real leader and winner. Muhammad Ali believed in his abilities and conquered. You should also convince yourself once in a while that you are worthy enough of great things in life to become successful.
Be an Olympian.
